Trolling motor finally went poof.

My Tracker Model 50 trolling motor committed Hari Kari last week, going up in a cloud of smoke just as I was getting hits on a crankbait under a dock. I had been out for several hours with no action at all, and the motor waits until I am on the fish to die. Figures.



Anyway, replaced it Friday with a Motorguide Pro Series 5200 with the 'Lill Gator mount. A nice upgrade. It's much more powerful, and certainly quieter. I really like the new mount. Appears to be a very solid product.
