Transom tie downs

Was wondering what everyone’s opinions are on the retractable transom tie downs. Pros cons, what brands are better than others

Absolutely love mine. So much easier than putting them on, taking them off. Spent $100 on mine. Great

They’re pretty sweet. I had them on my last boat and loved them. My new boat came with the cam-lock style straps which are quick and easy - so much so that I haven’t bothered to replace them with the retractable straps.

Retractable straps are the way to go.

Been using them on both boats for years now. So much better than the cam type that seem to work loose once in a while. Plus one less thing you don’t have to worry about what to do with them when you launch. I just used the bass pro brand and always went with the larger one even though the mini was rated for our smaller boat.

I have had them on 3 boats. They are not expensive and work well. So convenient. Can't think of an argument against them.

I got mine at Walmart for $23 a pair they work great second year for them

I literally just put a set on my 2018 Pro Team 175 TXW today.

I had to bend the trailer bracket. I couldn't see anything but adding stress by using the $17 bolt on bracket that changes the angle of the trailer bracket to keep the ratchet from hitting the tail light.
