Ok yesterday my dad comes by to pick up the boat to take to La to fish this week....(I will be headed down Wednesday but that not my problem). As I was putting grease into the hub.....the little nipple that the grease gun fits into broke off. So I need to know what I will need to replace. Will I need a new hub all together? Thanks for the help guys, the tire is 13" if that makes helps and no trailer brakes.

Zerks! That is what they call them, are threaded so you should be able to get a vice grip on the remainder and unscrew it. Auto store should have a replacement.

If I can't get the Zerk fitting out what hub should I get.

Go to Championtrailers.com and get their "spindlelube" hub assembly. This will be far superior to the bearing buddy type that (I assume) you have now.

the problem I have is the trailer is now in La so I am having to go off memory.....but I think its a bearing buddy type of system......

I am trying to get measurements on it now.....so I can figure out what size I need.

JimBob - If the factory trailer is from the past decade, you should have the Trailstar E-Z lube (flow-through)system, pushing the new grease in from the back through the zerk, forcing the old grease out the front for easy changing. If the zerk is broken where you can't unscrew it easily, try a small e-z out. (Home Depot, Napa, etc. has them.) It should let you back it out without much trouble. It's worked for me in the past. The axle system is a good one. I've put over 50K miles on tandems with it in a year without the first failure. Good luck!
