I need to replace the bulb capsule in my drivers side rear tail light of my boat trailer. I took it apart tonight and removed the capsule. I then went online to order a replacement from Wesbar, however they don't show a replacement capsule with the connecter already affixed, just the bare ended wires. Am I missing something here...?? Do they not make them with the connecters already affixed..? I'm a wiring/electrical moron, so feel free to pile on if I am missing something here...!!LOL

It's a sealed unit, you can't replace just the bulb. You have to replace the whole tail light. I'm thinking about replacing both of mine with LED tail lights.

I understand it's a sealed unit, however you can open up the red light by removing the 4 small screws, then you can remove the lighting capsule, which is the actual sealed unit which needs replacing. My bulb capsule pigtail has a connecter at the end of the wire, much like a trailer connecter at the hitch, this connecter plugs into the main wire coming out my trailer frame. The only replacements I have located, do not have a connecter, just bare wire ends. My question is, where can I find the replacement capsules with the connecters affixed..??

I had to splice my also. So did a pal with a similar Nitro. I used shrink wrap then silicone. No worries.

Smitty-

My oldest son (not Jake) smashed one of mine...

I had to spice it in...

Pretty sure its just matching the colors...

Piece of cake...

By the way, what are they charging now?

Also...did you ever take the center seat out in your boat?

Took mine out before we started fishing this spring...

Don't know why I waited soooo long...waaaay better with it out...think Marke already took his out?

I'm a cheap son of a gun. I took a dremmel tool and cut the protective cover off, replaced the bulb and siliconed it back together. So far it's working great.
