Has anyone else had problems with warranty issues...I'm in a battle to get some warranty work done on a 1999-912 and tracker is giving me a hard time.

Fred:

I've had two issues fixed under warranty without a hassle. Is the problem with Tracker-corporate or with your local dealer?

The problem is corporate my boat has been in for repair for seven months being shipped from Canada back up to the factory. Now they are saying they don't want to fix everything...

Fred,

Sometimes it's a matter of getting in touch with the right people. I had to get in touch with Nathan Long's office and speak with Jenny. She was terrific. I don't have her number, but I am sure someone here does. If not hers, then someone who can help you. 7 months is definately too long to wait. I tried to explain to our local dealer last week, after he complained about "bass boat guys" and how demanding we are. I tried to explain to him that if he went out an bought a $30,000 SUV and it broke down under warranty, and the dealer without giving him a loaner said it would be weeks to months before he got it back, that he would get a little "demanding" himself! Some folks just don't understand the principles of good customer service. Trust me Fred, there ARE people at Tracker that want to help. You just have to reach them. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Fred...is this a hull/fiberglass issue? I've noticed these are usually at the heart of the more drawn out problems.

I've had plenty of warranty items fixed on lots of boats over the years without a problem...except for the one hull issue I had!

Like Rob said, though, it's just a matter of finding the right person that can get the job done.

Believe me TEE, I know ALL TO WELL, what you are going through. I experienced that and more. Through persistance, the good people on this board, and finding the right people at Tracker, I had my problem resolved. It is foolish to think that an orginzation the size of Tracker marine could have everyone under their employ, be of like mind when it comes to service. I work for a large MFG company, and occasionally have to "repair" relations that someone else may have jeopardized by not behaving in a manor consistent with our objectives. When we find those individuals, we relieve them, but in a large company, there will always be those people you have to go above to get resolution.
