Took out the Z8 today. Was working on the shoot thru hull location. Checking out the bugs. Not many. Did not have speedometer readout on smartcraft gauges. I was really impressed with how fast it jumped on plane. Granted the boat was empty yet but it jumpes right up. You sit kinda strange, feels Like you are way up in the boat.Got the ethernet cable installed. Z8's and 9's don't come with rod hold downs on the front deck so installed them. Also sure like the steps on the trailer it made launching the boat easier.

New Z8, good for you Dave, glad to hear you are still fishing. Did you do any fishing or just do break in time. Nice looking boat. I will keep an eye out for you if you make it above the Dam this year. I plan on fishing the mighty Conowingo lake this year.

Take care

Bruce

Hi Bruce long time know hear. only part of the boat is new so I have no break in period just a learning period . Just get in it and go. Should be finishing up with everything tommorrow night. The through hull transducer epoxy is drying need to take out my playdough dam out.Than put the batteries in. I believe I figured out the Humminbird nmea to the speedometer. I think it is working now. Saw Fred the other day on the Potomac. He is Fishing in Delaware now.

Dave, I heard Fred had joined a club again, how about you? Doing the club thing or flying solo.
