Over the last couple weeks I thought I was at that other board that all they do is bad mouth each other and their boats. If you look over all the posts that were made in these threads you will not find my name.

Why??? Because to not answer somebody that bashes you does not give him or her the satisfaction that they got under your skin. They are left with a post that is not responded to, and is quickly replaced with constructive ones that are worthy of attention.

The old adage it takes two to fight is multiplied several times over in a message board. To come in an owners board and say that that brand is a piece of crap is a troll to get you all fired up and see how many he or she can get to post a response. It

I agree, but have been drawn into these brfore and robably will again.....

By far the best remedy is to ignore...

John:

Your logic is impeccable. It just rubs me wrong when someone passes off an opinion as a fact. And since I am one of the worst offenders at taking the bait offered (whether it be a boat-bashing troll, or a comment about rotting marine vinyl), I will do my very best to not be suckered in the future.

And, to the rest of you, please jump all over my case if I do -- for whatever reason -- get involved in a spittin' contest with someone. Just slap me silly, and then revive me with cold beverage (Amber Bock, please)!

Same here. I promised only with the boards help. "Hi, my name is Rob and I'm a habitually vocal Republican"

And the group says,........LOL

I must agree with you on that John....some people just get off on stirring up trouble.

Now me, I just love to fish! Not for negative or positive responses but for real fish...ya know, Large Mouth Bass! You actually have to go out on the water and use a fishing pole to do it! Doesn't leave me much time to try to mess with people!

So when it comes to someone on the board trying to "fish" up some trouble I remember how much it hurts to have a "hook" stick in ya and ignore the bait!

The first step is to join the Libertarian Party, second step is to have a cold one! LOL

John - As usual the big man from CA hit the nail on the head. That's Big Heart, Big Smile and BIG brain!

Yes, I started to type a nasty reply to a couple of the posts this last week. I did not. I didn't because I remembered on of the main reasons that I came to this board, other than being a Tracker owner. That is, a group of people that exchange good and honest information in a non-confrontational style. We have a nice group of people on our board here. We need to keep it that way. If we get someone that wants to "rock the boat" for whatever reason, I think that with the higher level of intelligence that is normaly displayed, we should able to quell the insurrection with wit and wisdom.

When I found this board, I abandoned the BFHP. Hopefully, the people that are leaving there now for whatever reason will not pollute our community.

Looking forward to seeing many of you at the Rally in June

I totally agree with John, I have several subjects that I enjoy studying up on, and some of the best resources on all subjects are on the internet, and message boards. One of my loves are my dogs, one of them is my favorite breed, an American Bulldog, (please don't confuse them with the unfortunate, although popular mutation that has come to be known as the English Bulldog, which was created by cross breeding the American Bulldog with the Pug.). Back to the subject of unfortunate posts and replies on all the well intentioned message boards, check the link I posted at the end of this reply, you'll see several messages by a Gentleman named Dave Putnam, one of the foremost breeders and experts on this breed, He wrote the most informative A.B. book printed, "The Working American Bulldog". Unfortunately, a good portion of the posts and replies on this board are very juvenile, several of the people can't seem to be able to complete a sentence without dropping a half dozen F-Bombs, and challenging each other to "Come on over if you want some, my door is always open, or bring your dog over, mine will rip it apart." My point is that if an expert the caliber of Dave Putnam is willing to come on the internet and give out free advice to anyone who asks, he shouldn't have to share space with those kinds of people, and neither should the good folks on this board, who don't claim to be experts on things, but are always quick with good advice, and a kind word. This board is completely different from any other I've been on, I have sinced stopped visiting the other boards, which have become relatively non productive, and are basicly a place for people to swear at each other, and threaten people who they have never seen, and don't know if they are talking to a 12 year old kid, or a 6-6 350 pound Brazilian Ju Juitsu expert. Please don't go that way.

Oh, one more thing, with the exception of John MCain (God Bless his work) the only Politicians who are out for the good of the people, rather than the good of the people fattening their wallets, aren't members of the 2 major parties.

Enough rambling, here's the link I mentioned

Well said....bravo!

I aint touchin the politics....but this is a great board....

Thank you again Mr. Richard Stern!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(not to be confused with Howard...lol)

What Rich ain't Howard...Then if HE isn't Howard...who is? I mean somebody has to be, right? Therefore if he ain't...then he ain't? Right? So, therefore, since Rich isn't...there is no Howard, okay. Now, we all KNOW, that in fact there is a Howard, so, since there is a Howard...Rich is Howard, because... I think I have explained that...next question...
