I have a 1994 Nitro with a 115 Mercury. The trim works well going down but creeps going up. I have no idea how to put more fluid into the hydraulics. It has a single piston and the only nut I see is on the electric motor that powers the hydraulic. It is a very large nut at the bottom of the housing. Is this where the fluid goes? If so what keeps it from coming out when putting new fluid in? Any help would be geatly appreciated.

If you trim the motor all the way up you should see a yellow plastic plug on the trim unit. To fill it you trim it all the way up, set the saftey brace in place and put the fluid in thru the hole when you remove the plug. once oil is to the level of the plug its full.

One thing to keep in mind if your loosing fluid then its leaking and most likley needs to be repaired.
