Awhile ago, I posted a thread about the hard water stains and some areas of oxidation on my boat. I had tried everything from expensive products promising to remove the marks to home brewed remedies I obtained over the internet. Nothing seemed to work, and I was beginning to think that maybe it was more of a paint defect than anything else. Well, I was at Costco the other night with my wife and she picked up a giant size jug of Simple Green. I vaguely recalled someone recommending the stuff to me in my previous thread to remove the stains. Well, I gave it a try an lo and behold the stuff worked beautifully, with very little effort on my part. I just sprayed it on, waited about 30 seconds and wiped it off; stains are history, I can't believe it..!!

So, being to lazy to look up my previous thread..I just wanted to say thanks to whoever recommended the stuff..it's awesome.

I wax her about 4 times per season. Thats actually when the problem began. I waxed her about a month after I picked it up in the spring. About 2 trips later, the marks started to show up. When it was time to wax again, I scrubbed the boat down, the marks appeared to be gone. Put a new coat of wax on, and once again, a couple of trips later, the marks returned, all in the same areas. Hopefully I got it this time. I plan on waxing tomorrow..we'll see what happens after a couple of trips.

I'm using Meguires boat wax and a buffer..I really don't think the wax is the problem.

I think it was "Me!" (aka Scott)....he's mentioned that stuff several times before!!
