Ken, thank you for all your help with the boat and taking me to lk. St. Clair. I was affraid I would have to bring the boat back down and leave it there to get it fixed. That would have meant no fishing for a week or 2(cringe!). The trip to St. Clair while not real productive (1 fish 2-2 1/2#) gave me a chance to run in bigger water (that's kinda fun!). I will be calling you to do it again!

You're very welcome...I enjoyed it too, but unfortunately the weather was not in our favor...let's get out in Sept. or early Oct. when they start putting the feed bags on...we'll see if Mac can go with us too.

Hey Ken,

Are you offering free guided trips on St Clair for all nitroowner.com members?? I have a cousin that lives in Ferndale and he fishes St.Clair and has invited me up. How far is Ferndale to Auburn Hills? I might have to plan a trip up next year.

Bob G.

Come on up...we'll get you out there...Ferndale's real close to here.

But what's this "while not real productive" stuff? Mister, if we come all the way over there for these acclaimed beasts you all have supposedly swimmin in your pond, I better be able to beat 4 lbs all day like it's going out of style or you'll never live it down. LOL Mini, where you at in all of this? What's up with this? Inquiring minds want to know.

Rob, Marke and Buzz,

Let's plan a trip to St. Clair next year if everyone has the time and see what all the hoopla is all about!! We can cruise in the crew cab and "borrow" a couple demo boats from BPS!!!

Ken, What is the travel time from Plattsburgh?

Bob G.

10 hours, give or take....depends if you go through Canada and have to drive in kilometers!!!

I have said that the weights on Clair have been down for the past two summers. I really dont know why, but you still can catch a bunch of 2 1/2 pounders....I was out yesterday with Walter Parrot, Red Head Hunting Pro Staffer, and we boated 15-18 smallies in about 4 hours fishing time. It was pretty rough to hold on the small structures that I chose to fish, but we still had fun!
