I broke the port side stern gunwale cap...actually knocked it off banging into a dock while flipping in a 30mph wind...duh!

Its a 1993 so I wasn't too hopeful of replacin g it exactly... Well, guess what... Ken Neweley put me in touch with Craig Roberts at BPS in Auburn Hills... He took my hull number and found the part. I ordered it last Thursaday... It arrived today... That's great service.

Thanks Craig...Ken and BPS. I think everyone needs to know that these guys "talk the talk" and they "walk the walk" when it comes to customer service. I got that kind of treatment and service for a $15 part for a boat that's almost ten years old and bought elsewhere. It was important to me and it became important to them. Thanks.

Hey Neweley...like your new name? I'm sorry...fingers don't like this keyboard! But it's better than the one that was sticking and giving me multiple posts!

That Auburn Hills gang should be teaching customer service to the entire BPS group. Not that the entire BPS group is bad but just because these guys are so good at taking care of the customer.

Wanted to pass on kudo's to the 'reel guy' at BPS in Charlotte. Stopped in the other day on the way to the golf course to browse. Ran into a friend of mine looking at rod/reel combo's. Short story is that I wound up attempting to pitch a jig rig (less hook) in the store. Did badly, and backlashed the reel on the first attempt.

After lamenting the fact that I really had no good clue on the technique to use, out from behind the counter came the reel guy. In about 3 minutes he gave me 3-4 tips on how to tension the reel, hold the rod, technique and method. Very good instruction.

Last night after dinner went out in the back yard and in about 5 minutes had all of the basics working well. Did not purchase one item that day. Hat's off to the 'reel guy' at BPS Charlotte.
