I've been calling around to all sorts of people in the St. Louis area looking for two little items for my boat..... That little, plastic cap for the gas tank vent and the spring that holds the locking dog in place on the winch..... Frustration!!!!!

Finally, I called parts at BPS in Springfield: 417-887-3832.

Teresa answered the phone - with a VERY pleasant voice! She knew exactly the cap I asked for and is going to mail it out to me today!

The spring she wasn't so sure about..... She took my phone number and said she'd check it out..... I figured I'd NEVER hear back.....

She just called! She ordered it from the winch manufacturer, will have it next week and will drop it in the mail! Total cost for the two items and shipping: $5.99!

I wish I had called Teresa right from the beginning! You have no idea as to how much time I've spent in the yellow pages looking for those two little items..... And she was VERY much more customer savvy than anyone I spoke with at any dealership in this area!

Thanks again, Teresa!

I have said time and again that the BPS customer service ethic is pretty solid... I had purchased several hundred dollars worth of stuff early in the year...a whole cart full. Somewhere at the checkout a seqat pedestal got charged to me but not put into the cart... Anyway, got home discovered it was "missing"...called BPS (Gurnee) and they looked at the checkout counter... The person on the phone got my r3eceipt number, verified my "purchase" and sent oner to me at n o charge for shipping. No hassle just courteous service.
