Okay. I want to take the seats out of my Stratos and get them re-upholestered - much like Rich did. Wife even wants me to have it done.

I have figured out how to get the 'back' off the seats off, but haven't tackled the part you sit on as yet. This is a standard mid-90's Stratos, where you are sitting durn near on the floor (just a small raised support).

Any tips?

Tex,

Probably screws in there, is the tank under the seat? I believe you have to probe around looking for the fastners.

Did you ask on the BBC

FROM BBC

"are they bucket or bench ? If they are bucket seats , take the 2 large screw covers(about the size of a quarter) off , should be ss screws , remove them. This will allow the bottom sections to come out. Once those are removed , there are 2 ss angle pieces holding the arm rest / backs to the floor , remove the screws , and the rest should come out. Reminder < remember if you decide to replace the screws, get the same exact size , because the fuel cell is mounted under the seats and you will puncture the cell. GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!! "
