Stupid question - Secondary points?

Can someone tell me what exactly is a secondary point? I see fishing reports from my local lake and they talk about working secondary points.



I am thinking that a "primary" point would be...oh I don't feel like looking stupid. If someone could just help me out I would be very appreciative.

Good question.. I think they are refering to points that are not as well defined. Just a guess..

Think of a cove (1/2 moon) and in the middle of the 2 points there is another...kinda making it look like an "E" with the middle point smaller or "secondary". Secondary points are the next set of points back from main points which extend the furthest into the body of water.

Or,...a "point coming off a point"......like the letter "F"...think of the two letters "F"&"E"...as in:
