Can anyone advise me where I can get a hold of the loop straps for the compartments in the floor...I just purchased a used 640LX and all those straps are gone or broken. I checked at Bass Pro in KC and they do not carry them, nor did they know where to find them.

Any help would be appreciated!

Buy some web strap and make them yourself. Make sure you put washers on both side when you mount them back on so they don't fray and pull out.

2nd the web straps idea...right after I got my boat, there were 3 or 4 of the straps that broke. I had some old ratchet straps that the ratchet mechanism had broken. I cut them to length, removed the old broken straps from the lids, and replaced with the web strapping I had had cut to length. They are still going strong 7 years later.

Ill third that idea. You can get the webbing at any fabric store pretty cheap and it comes in many colors.

Ditto the idea on webbing. Only add is that you may want to burn the ends of the cut webbing to make sure they don't unravel - kind of like cut rope.

Just did the exact same thing with the ratchet straps last week. Mine have been rotted for a few years and made opening the compartments a real PIA! Can't believe it took me two years to figure out the deal with the ratchet straps. Took me about 1 hour to replace all of them. Just like new again:D

Did the same on my 170TF, got gray to match the carpet and they are still in great shape after seven years and is a quick fix. Good Luck!
