My steering wheel, when the motor is straight, is upside down. Do I remove the steering wheel and set it on correctly or is another process used to align this?

It will move around, moveing the wheel will not help. It's just the nature of the beast.

Get a equidistant spaced three spoke wheel instead, like what is installed on a lot of new boats. I bought one from Bass Pro Shops, Hampton VA for about $40 for my last boat. Cured that "upside down" steering wheel problem permanantly.

All the best,

Glenn

My 640LX is cable driven and has nearly the same problem. Mine looks like i'm turning left 45 degrees. I hope someone knows how the adjust the wheel straight when i'm going straight. It works great but looks weird.

There is an adjusment at the engine for the cable type. With the hydraulic the wheel just kind of roams a little each time.
