I have a Nitro 882 with a Mercury 150 XR6. It's been great. Lately I noticed that the steering is a little stiff.

Can it be luburicated. If so, what kind of lubricant and where do I use it:)

Most likley its your cables freezing up. The only really safe thing to do is replace them.

have you been oiling them, if not, just replace them there going to lock up.

I recomend replacing them first and foremost because the binding experienced is definitely wearing the cable strands and as they break it will stiffen more until frozen tight or snap and no control. You may try and force graph lube down the line for a temporary reprieve and loosening, but a replacement is in the near future. Good luck! ;)

One more thing. If you have lubed the cables with grease and/or oil (i.e. WD-40) Do not use graph lube. It will turn into a peanut butter consistency quick! Use of the graph lube (graphite) on dry cables can keep them in use for a remarkably long time. It keeps the cables lubed dry, reducing rusting breakage by oil based lubes that will trap moisture.
