speedometer just quit

My speedometer stopped working my first trip out on my 07 nitro 189 sport. Anyone know how to fix or what could have happened?

Pitot clogged. Small hole on the leading edge of your engine's lower unit. Use a small drill bit, turned with your fingers only (not in a drill) to get the debris out.



Either that, or the tubing popped off the back of the gauge or somewhere between the gauge and lower unit.

Mine poped off right where the tube comes out the engine. Theres a little coupler there. The Tracker boyz put a little longer tube in there as I pulled it off when I turned the engine all the way one direction.

My clogs every time I go out friend, may want to just get a GPS and be done with it. I think Im going to take out the speedometer and insert a picture of Betty White for inspiration.
