New boat rig, customer competes in bowfishing tournaments, needs ultra shallow water performance.

Also wants "instant" planing, low speed planing, and getting up and running in literally ankle deep water.

Grizzly 2072/80 Jet (115 powerhead)

This boat is amazing...

The name "Trout & Sons" is familiar - are they here in Missouri? I see jets all the time on the smaller waterways in Missouri, like the Meramac River but I don't know if I've ever seen trim tabs.

I was wading in some of that ankle deep water fly fishing for trout one day when two of them came upstream but were stopped short of my spot by the rocks in a riffle that stuck out. Would you believe that the guys in the two boats beached them and then spent 5 or 10 minutes moving rocks so they could continue!

Needless to say, I have kind of a love-hate relationship with those things..... I hate when they disturb my fishing; but I sure would love to have one so I could do it, too!

I can attest to the fact that jet boats have an EXCELLENT holeshot. I got nailed by one at the ramp Sunday, put a hole in my baby. :(

A hole about the size of a silver dollar and three long stress cracks. I posted the full story over on anglerforums.com

At least in water that shallow his H-bird will be always be accurate. When ever I got on plane my H-bird would always read 1 foot...LOL

Those 20 foot grizzly's are pretty cool....and built like a tank.

Geez, Mike.....

What a bummer. Sorry to hear it. Is the boat driveable or or is it down until you get it fixed. Are the stress cracks into the fiberglass or are they in the gel?

You must have been fit to be tied..... Can't say I blame you one bit.

Sorry!

me!
