Spammer follow up comments

No decision yet on whether or not to remove guest posting.



I have applied a couple of bans to try to smack these folks down. We'll see if that helps.



In the meantime, if a spam item appears, don't reply to it. It only draws more attention to the post by keeping it at the top of the board, which is a spammer's perfect result.



Just leave it be and I will get to it.

I heard an interview on NPR one time of a guy who has found a way to find out where the spam came from....mostly western Africa. He has written a program that will in turn flood the spammers computer with millions of messages vertially putting them out of business. He said he had one spammer contacting him begging for mercy. It was a great interview.
