No, it's not beer  . For those of you who like a good potato soup, especially on these cold winter days, here's my wife's recipe for some creamy potato soup: (I only post this on my favorite sites ;) )

Creamy Potato Soup

Potatoes (small) 6 to 8

(1) Stick butter or margarine

(2) 10 3/4 ounce cans Cream of Celery soup

(2) 10 3/4 ounce cans Cream of Mushroom soup

(1) onion- diced

(1) 8 ounce pkg. cream cheese

2 cups of milk (estimated)

Peel and dice 6 to 8 small potatoes, boil until you can stick a fork in them easily.

Using a 2 quart pan, melt butter and add onion till soft.

Add cream cheese till melted.

Add soups and then potatoes, stir.

Add milk and heat slowly over medium low heat. Stir as it heats.

Finished consistency should be creamy. Add salt & pepper to taste if desired.

Enjoy! :)

I use a similar recipe but, use mild cheddar to top it off:p

MMMmmmm!!....Dump some clams in there and hold on!!!

The soup does end up with the consistency of a thick chowder.

Since my wife started making it at home I'll never eat canned potato soup again..........if I can help it :)

Made it for dinner... Very tasty! Thanks again.:D

Glad you liked it, and I'll pass it on to my wife :)

Do not check your cholesterol at anytime with 48 hrs after eating that soup!!!!

Let's see... one stick of butter... 8 ozs of cream cheese... 2 cups of milk... Oh yeah...

Well worth the "falling off the diet" moment!;)
