Just sold my 2001 901. Thanks to all that replied and inquired about it.

New boat was ordered yesterday 1/21. Getting an 898 bass version, loaded w/225 and jackplate, hotfoot, hydraulic-steering, tandem, 2 X87's and more. Due in 1st week of March. Can't wait seems like an eternity all ready. I loved the 896 and hope the 898 is just as good. Pictures will be posted when it comes in.

I'm excited, just had to tell someone! KENNY

Congrat's on the sale, and the new boat. Happiest day of an anglers life is when he either sells his boat, or buys one. You got a two-fer!

I wasn't real happy w/the 9 series. They are a super ride, but don't fish as well as the old savage 896's which I think has been Nitro's best boat yet. The 9's are heavy, don't run as well, don't get off of stumps as well, and we have a lot of stumps in The Piney Woods of East Texas, 9's don't seem as good in shallow water, to much draft, I love the ride and the storage of the 9 series, and this 898 has more storage boxes than 896 and is 20'4" long and should ride better than the 896. Hopefully I'll get the best of both worlds. I know it will be faster.

If I lived where there was a lot big open water ie., Great Lakes area the 929 would probably be the way to go. But with our shallower stump filled lakes of East Texas you could not beat the 896 and I hope the 898 does as well. KENNY

Congratulations: Give it another year then try one of those 20 ft Avalanches with a 225.
