I would suggest that for your rig, they're a waste. I'd put a $30 hydrofoil on there to accomplish faster planing and ability to stay on plane at lower speeds.

Hows it going Mike,
Don't think I need tabs or hydrofoil the Targa yet-- still learning this boating thing -- Dealer gave me a 17p prop to try -- Man what a difference -- I get up on plane and stay there-- Rpms are looking pretty good --- I chickened out @ 40mph(gps) and 55-56k rpm--- I could trim up some more but need to get the"feel" Seem like more control.
