Smallies in Central Ky.....

ok, so I couldnt make it to Northern Michigan as planned, and I am just a "little" jealous of the Michigan thread...



So I am hereby o-fish-ally reminding everyone that you can catch good smallies right here in Kentucky. That's right, I said Ky... (did I mention the current world record was caught here?)

Welcome aboard... I have only ever fished green once, beutiful lake, but couldnt get bit that day. Of course, if you've got any hints on Green, I'll take them!



I see you have a "U.K" email address, you in Lexington? Where do you usualy fish?



We are planning to run to Woods Creek later this week, once the rain let's up a bit.

Looks like we need to get that Central KY mini rally a rollin' again. We have quite a few people i this area. Tony when you going to Woodscreek?? I may make the trip.

It looks like the rain has finally stopped.



We plan to go to WoodsCreek tomorrow AM, probably leave the house around 5am and return around 1-2pm. If this scouting trip goes well, we will probably go back this weekend.



I'm hoping this little lake will be a bit better than Wilgreen, and still as quiet.

Tony..First time I went to Woods Creek about 6 years ago I cought about 15 to 20 off the bank around the parking lot. I went back a few weeks later and rented a boat and only cought a few 'gills. Each time that I have been there not much results either. I belive it may be somewaht better than Wilgreen but maybe not as quite. I cant make the am trip tomorrow but maybe Sat. I need to be back in Richmond around noon so my "lake time" maybe limited. Let me know how you do and I may tag along with my boat Sat. if you don't care. By the way.... can you get me a job working with 'ya?? I need one that I can leave in the middle of the week and go fishing. lol Have a good safe trip and give me a yell back.

I am on Sabbatical this month... a full 30 day vacation...

(and I still have 3 more weeks to take later this year)

wouldnt you know I would pick the beginning of Monsoon season?
