I would like to extend my sincere apologies if I offended anyone in any posts or responses below. It was not my intent. I enjoy this site immensely and the last thing I would ever want to do, is to be part in causing someone to think this site is like so many others where you cannot openly voice your opinion without being bombarded. I apologize to Rich, as I think his site was intended for fishing and boating issues. My posts below were not directed to anyone in particualy, only in general. I honestly believe that the class of people on this board can only be found on this site. As I said earlier, I do not claim to be right, only well informed, opinionated, and I stand up ficiously for what I believe to be right, and condemn what I believe wrong. The problem with typed text is that neither emotion or sarcasm are portrayed easily, and as it was stated earlier, perception is reality. I were my heart and my mind on my sleeve for all to see. I will do my best to refrain from my tangents in the future, if you all promise to help me! LOL If you wish to discusss issues or just to talk about any problems, my door, e-mail, phone line is always open.

Getting bigger every year Scott, (thanks), just bought another pair of 34/30 jeans, and they don't fit! Not going to a 36", I was 28" when I left high school! My attempt at lightening the conversation, did it work?

A man without something to ignite his own soul is a man waiting to live.

Rob, never apologize for being passionate about those things which hold meaning and significance. There are many avenues that lead to the public square, including this one that lends itself to being passionate about boating and fishing.

As someone once said on another thread, "(if a person can't handle it) the best solution is the little "x" in the upper right hand corner of your screen."

I don't believe Rob was apologizing for his beliefs, he was apologizing to anyone that may have taken offense to his comments...there is a difference.

As far as anyone's personal beliefs go, there is no need to apologize.

I've said this before, and my grandfather pounded it into my head:

"There is a difference between TAKING offense, and BEING offensive. You gotta know the difference."

I don't think Rob was being offensive, and for anyone who takes offense at someone else's beliefs where no offense was intended, well . . .

Thank you guys. Like Ken said, I was certainly not apologizing for my beliefs, rather maybe the way I displayed them, and to a certain extent, this is probably not the place. Granted the issue involving the cat, as Greg pointed out can be linked to the back door movement of "particular" orginizations to close in on even our rights to wet a line. In my exuberance, I often tend to let my emotions get the better of me, though mixed with fact and forthought, and when I throw something out there in text, it's easily misinterpreted. It's easy to sit behind a key board and get wound up without realizing the impact it can have on someone on the other end, that's not sure of your intent. I have never been offended by anyone here, but then again, I am rather hard to offend unless you bring up certain said subjects. Let's just keep it casual and simple around here. I have seen in months past, people disappear into cyberspace, and I only hope it was not by either my or others actions on this board. This site is and should remain a fun, informative site, that everyone raves about. You know the one, with the best boats and anglers in the world! I am so looking forward to meeting all of you at the rally and then maybe we can discuss whatever we choose over a few personality enhancing beverages!

Hey, Rob, no problem. I had to go looking for the thread where you supposedly offended. No worries...I body slammed you in response. :)

I've got no problem with political commentaries on this site. Just keep marking them as off-topic. People can choose to read them or not. Treat other posters with respect, and you'll get no static from me. I'm the only one who can body slam folks and get away with it. :)

I just realized we did not have an "Off-topic" posting category. Silly me.

Now we do.

God Bless America and Rich Stern....thanx for millionth time for this site.

I wore "28 waist (and 34 length) till I was 30, then in 4 months it jumped to 32, 5 years later (last fall) it jumped again to 32 and those are starting to feel a little tight!

SHUT UP! LOL Sorry Trep, but 5'11" and 130. OK Icabod! I'm 5'10" and 188. I weighed 147 when I got out of school and that was only 10 years ago! So no more whining Trep! You could use a couple of pounds so a stiff breeze doesn't take you away.
