seat removal

i have a 1996 pro 17 with the adjustable driver seat. Has anyone ever had to remove it. Mine got a big tear this afternoon when the kids decided to play in it. I have a spare seat to replace it with. but need to find out how to get the seat out and off first.

Mike, I don't know about yours but my 2000 pt185 drivers seat is attached to an aluminum plate and the plate is attached to the boat. I've had the plate/seat assembly off and if I remember, to get the seat off I'd have to remove the bolts from the bottom of the plate. Maybe your is the same. Good luck

i guess i just have to cut the protective carpeting out of the way of the bolts so i can see them, and thats not an easy task in that little space. i will try tommorow after i get back grom bps baltimore.
