Okay guys. Here is the deal.

I'm deliverying the Targa to the new owner at Rend Lake in Central IL on Saturday afternoon, about 4:00PM. I'm leaving Rock Hill tomorrow right after lunch, so that I can get over the mountains before the weekend rush, and make good time on I40 heading west. Not sure how far I'll get tomorrow, but hoping only to have 100-150 left on Saturday morning. Very flexible here on times and mileage.

Both Scott and Greg talked about the possibility of fishing on Saturday, if it worked out. I'll be heading towards the ramp mid-lake on Rend, just off H57 where Hwy. 154 crosses the lake.

I'll be on the board later, and in the morning from work. If someone wants to come meet 'us' there, we'll do some line stretching. I'll throw a few rods along with a small tackle box in the Merc, just in case.

Here's my cell number: 803-493-2018. After Noon tomorrow, I'll only be available via cell phone.

PLEASE DO NOT FEEL OBLIGATED IN ANY WAY - SCOTT/GREG OR OTHERS. On the other hand, it would be a real treat to be able to meet others and get out on the water.

Sorry can't make Sturday...but I hope Scot can make it

he's real easy to fish with never makes you lift anything very heavy with a net.

What's a "net"? :^)

Gosh, that came up fast, John! I had figured next week - but I guess you and the new owner are looking forward to getting this done! Saturday is not looking good for me either - there's a barbeque Saturday evening and I gotta try and put some meat on these bones..... But..... Let me see.....

They're talking about strong storms and winds continuing in this area through the weekend - so, please, be careful on the drive.

I'll call you early Saturday morning one way or the other!

me!

John -

Just re-read your message and caught the 4:00 pm time slot. That definately would not work out. (I had originally read "noon".)

However, if you need anything, I'm only about an hour and a half away from there - let me know!

Good Luck and Safe Driving!

me!

As I said, not a problem. Everything looks set. They expect to get there around 4:00PM. I really think that they will be there before that, since they are leaving WI around 4:30AM. I figure their trip to be between 8-9 hours at most.

If so, we'll get done earlier and head out. Yeah, both of us want to get this done and are all ready. Put a new tire on the trailer last night. Found one that was wearing funny and scalloping pretty bad. No bias ply in the store, so the trailer got a new radial on it.

Took the boat out for a last run by myself last night. Everything checked out fine (which I knew it would). Will be heading out this afternoon. I'm just going to take it nice and easy going over the mountains. If weather looks iffy in the mountains, then I'll change and head towards Atlanta and take the southerly route.

Thanks again to all. BTW, Steve got on the board the other night and couldn't believe the information and help offered. He'll soon be a member and participating.
