What scale is reliable for weighting fish, spring or digital, and witch model ?

Thanks

Both are accurate. I will let some of the club/tourney guys give specific models. I think that in order to weigh citation fish they need to be certified on a regular basis.

I have the Berkley digital stress gauge scale. I brought it to a QA guy and he said it was dead on. However, it only reads in 1/10 of lbs. Cabela's has one for $28 that reads to .05 oz!!! That's my next one.

I just bought a Rapala to replace my Normark. I'm actually going to test both and see which is more accurate.

Rob is right on with the one at Cabelas, it's made by Salter and is very accurate from what I have read.

I am using the Normark Digital scales. I have the 15# and the 5# Precision scales. The 5# Precision scales are really nice for culling.

I watched Roland Martin advertise the "Cull-M-Rite" scales on his show once. I emailed him and he answered. He said that most all of the Pro's are using them. BPS used to carry them but they don't anymore. You can find them if you do a search for "Cull-M-Rite" on the internet. They are about $200.00. They come with the culling tags and they remember each fish's weight and when you catch your 6th fish, It tells you which fish to cull.

Pretty nice, but kind of pricey!

Yamamoto's site sells the Cull-M-Rite for around that price. Looks like a nice setup.

I use the Berkley and seems to be pretty accurate for my purposes(braggin' rights)...

Dont get the Cul-M-Rite wet....at least not teh Stren versions.

I use the Rapala Guide series. It does have a memory for 10 fish and weighs in ounces, not tenths. The Rapala that weighs in hundreths of a pound has been known to have problems.

PS I also have a Berkley scale that is used for backup.
