saw the '03 super guide v14 today

I went to the boat show today and the sg14 was right at the front door. the largest dealer there was a tracker dealer. the new all-welded 74" wide sg14 looks great. it is exactly what I am looking for.

there are a few shortcuts tracker uses that makes the finished quality suffer. nothing that hurts the function of the boat, and after looking at a few other manufacturers prices (lund,etc), I can live with them for sure.

I plan on buying this spring. the dealer rep fishes in a club with a gentleman I work with, so he said he could waive the dealer prep,freight charges and sell it to me for the catalog price. does that sound like a good deal, or can I do better?

after looking at a few used boats and never owning a new one, I've decided I am going to buy new. I always seem to have bad luck with used stuff. I bought a $1000 suzuki-outboard-shaped anchor a few years ago and swore I wouldn't buy anything used again. I am sure there are good deals out there, I think I snatch up all the lemons.

anyways, I am stoked at the thought of a brand new boat!
