i have a 884 but i have a 175 efi merc on it i run a 3 blade 25 and a 4 blade 26

Do a search on the Nitro 882. The boats are close enough that whatever setup these guys are running should work for you as well.

I have a 97 Nitro Savage 884 and since day 1 I have consistantly been in the upper 60's to lower 70's (GPS) depending on Boat load and altitude from which I am running at. Not sure what pitch I am set at but I am thinking its around 23. I believe it's made by Trophy and its a 4 blade prop. The hole shot is unreal.

My boat came with a 25P Tempest. Could only turn 53-5400 RPMs so I dropped to a 23P Tempest. Everything improved. Hole shot dropped from 5 seconds to 3, RPMs are now 57-5800, and boat is much more responsive. At 100% efficiency, a 23P prop will run our boat at 68 MPH. I'm consistently at 66.
