I will be taking some this weekend when I get done buffing it out. I'll put them in my library. Keep in mind, she needs new seats. Other than that, I think it's in pretty good shape for an '89! And she has ALL the extras except a jackplate because I can't put it on. But I MIGHT put in hydraulic steering if I keep it.

hey Ben check out my 1800tf 1989 in my library, there a picture of mine before I blew up the motor. It has the Johson 150 hp.

I need to get new pic's up after 3m'ing the gelcoat and w/ the new 150. It looks much better now

Dave, thought you got a 125? What were you getting top end with the 150 fastrike? I get 56-58 with my GT 150.

pullleeease! Mercs are blowing as much as OMC these days. You want a REAL motor, go with Yamaha! That's my next one! Take THAT TOX! LOL

I knew that was coming!! Yamaha makes one mean Motocross motorcycle. Mercury makes one mean outboard. Nany Nany booo-booo Rob pffffffffffttttttt

Ben, please ignore the gaseous boy wonder here for a moment and look in Stan Jones library at the bottom pic, boat6. That is almost identical to mine but his seats are re-done. Mine is in the same shape, great, but I have a 150 hanging on the back and a God awful HUGE TM on the front. 50" MotorGuide with a Big Water Gator and rodsave tie down. It's big! I did manage to put the Garmin 160 on last night and am eager to try it tomorrow. I would take pics tonight but Isadore just got here and we expect rain until tomorrow. The boat is covered right now, so all you would see is the trailer, motor, and cover.

58.5 mph GPS 23P renegade SS 4 blade 4.25" below the pad @5400 rpm.

New Pic's comming after I put another coat of wax and new seats are done. Yes It now has a 2002 Mercury 125hp. Sure it slower but In NH we only have a few lakes were that would even matter. Yami's are good but I could not pass up that deal at marine usa on the 125.

I just put up some pic today of the seats that I'm fixing and a bigger picture of my son's 1st bass and the $%$#% 150hp motor that is now spread out across the usa

Cool Rob. I'm gonna post some of my boat soon too. Dave- cool pics of your son! I've got to get some of my daughter standing in mine. She LOVES boats, and is only 23 months old! Yeah, your old seat looks just like mine did before I ripped em' out. I'm going to replace them with nice folding seats that BPS sells. I'll include the link below for the seats I want.

I'm only turning 5,000 rpms at WOT and with the Raker 3 blade get high 50's. I'd like to get another 200-300 rpms and see what happens. But alas, she's is pretty well tweaked so I'll leave it alone for now.

Have to agree wit Rob, TOX! Mercs are nice but Yam's RULE!!! V-6 Mercs do sound better though! Also, I'm sure your methane cloud gets sucked into the intake of your opti and gives you 50 more horses over the standard 225, RIGHT??? Wee Haa!!!!

HA Rob!! Another convert to the Dark Side!! Doesn't Yamaha make that two cycle blender for tailgate partys? Poke, Poke, nuge, nuge. HEH, HEH.

Stand Back Folks!! He's Gonna Blow!!!!

TOXIC

what size prop is that rob and can you raise the motor

5000 rpm is low. My Johnson was bolted in one the second hole from the top lifting the motor bracket 1" above the transom

my buddy is redoing my seat's I bought the fabric and he's sowing them up now.

I'm maxed out on lift. She's as high as I dare go and keep water pressure. Like yours, one hole from the top. My cav plate is level with the bottom of the hull. Toxic, WHEN I do trade up most likely next spring, because I have to part with the money pit! I will come down with my new rig whatever it might be with the V-Max 225 or 250 on the back and walk all over your Merc! LOL You can eat my roostertail! Don't get me wrong, I love mercs, but they have some Opti issues. Efis are great, but dollar for dollar, every Yammy I've driven is hot. They're fast, quiet, good on gas, and bullet proof!

TOX, I want one of those blenders. Anything gas powered gets my nod. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRR!!!! Nice blended daquiris!! So, how many more MPH do you get with that infamous methane shot??? Inquiring minds want to know! I figure it's gotta be worth another 20 or so. You could challenge any Allison or Bullet flat out with that secret weapon!!

Dave, how much was the fabric? Also, I want more padding. My arse literally sits on the fiberglass as the foam is shot too. That's why I opted to just replace them with new seats. Also I want them to support my back more and higher. The originals are too low on the back. Captain buckets will be nice.

Shhhhhhhh.....that's my secret weapon, Rob better have nitrous on a 250 if he's even gonna get there before my wake disipates. It just stings a little when I insert the pickup tube. I figure my butt juice is worth at least 75 to 80 ponies and the subsequent burning of the surrounding atmosphere lowers the density of the surrounding oxygen allowing a protective "lighter than air" bubble to encase my 929. If that doesn't work, I'll pay a kid to shove a potato in his exaust.

TOXIC (A Livin' Legend)

100 bucks for enough fabric and piping to do 3 seats from BoatUS

Toxic, So your the reason for the ozone layer having a hole.

Why have a motor, when all you need to do is lite the afterburner unless your afraid of melting the fiberglass resin

ben, go to my library . i have some pics of my 1989 1800 tf. stan

That's it TOX...stay outta my houseboat at the Rally...unless you eat a bottle of BEAN-O!!!

Ken - Bottle of Bean-o, I don't want him within 100yards of my cabin without eating a CASE of Bean-o!!!

Rob,

Around these parts if you aint got a 50" shaft and a BigWater (or a 101 and the heaviest mount known to man) you aint holding on anything.....

AND Yammie has the new HPDI 225 and 250 out now...new 3.3L block.....Bass and Walleye Boat Mag has it in it...
