Hey everyone, Rich just got my site up and running. Please go check it out and let me know what you think. This is not a plug, just an honest request for review. Pics and more testimonials will be added next week.

Nice site! The photo section will be proof positive that you can deliver a great experience.

Looking at it like a prospective customer, you could enhance the prices and services page by including a description of what a day would be like...

"Guests will be treated to an (x)-hour day of guided fishing on some of the best water Lake Champlain has to offer. Personal rods and tackle are welcome, or equipment can be provided by the guide at the guest's request. Fishing is done out of a twenty one foot Skestratorangertritonitro fiberglass bass boat with a 1545 h.p. Mercuryamahjohnson, equipped with a 220-volt Minnkotaguide trolling motor, GPS fish-finder system and underwater camera. Lunch includes (description of the type of meal provided)."

Thanks Mo, that's all in the works. The boat is not revealed as I am not 100% positive what I'm running this year but it will be at least 19' and a 200hp

Rob, it's an awesome looking site, kudo's to Rich, great looking site. Rob, e-mail me if you wish and I'll let you know of a few guide sites in my area, one's a neighbor of mine, to be honest, yours looks VERY professional and well done, and should serve ya well.... but ya never know, there may be things in other's sites that you'd want to add to yours..... egMike

Wouldn't it be cool if you could have that Atlantis camera hooked up to a video recorder and snag a clip of a smallie actually chomping down on a jig? Then convert that to an MPEG or Quicktime file and play it on the opening page?

(Okay, okay...spend the bucks on the boat first. The glitz on the website can come later.)

Nice Site Rob now get that frozen tundra picture off the front page!!! That scares us fishermen!! Actually the only thing I would have a problem with is that I see you say, "Lost or broken gear is extra". Might want to clarify that. For example, you are gonna take me out to your tires for a jig and pig lesson, then charge me for lost tackle....? One of the guide services here charges for lost gear and they lose business because of it. Besides, and I'm not sayin this is true, but the general public thinks we get our gear free anyway....you just make for bad blood. Now, if you are not talking about lures then no problem. You might still want to clarify.

TOXIC

Not baits Tox, unless it's luckycrafts! LOL Broken rods etc. I had a guy last year that continually used my windshield as a handle to pull himself up with. I repeatedly asked him not to...until he finally broke it. DUH!!!! He never paid me for it, I had to repair it myself. That's the point I'm trying to convey and told Rich I need the best possible wording so if you guys can suggest a better pitch, please let me know. I don't charge for tackle.

I agree with Tox here, Rob. Leave that part off the web site, but clarify it in person when you're talking to a prospective customer. That gives you a chance to explain what you mean. If its up on the website, you may never get the initial phone call because someone mis-interprets what you're trying to say.

"Broken gear" is contract language, not sales language.

Looks good Rob and Rich! Of course I am still stumped as to why anyone would want to pay to spend the day with Rob!! Especially catching those sissified rural bass! LOL!

Rob - Great start to the site! Like the others said, pictures of you, Zeke, testimonials (with pictures of the fish caught by customers) will help too! Only suggestion I would have is in the blank area in the bottom of the home page would be a high level map of champlain or the area you work in. So if folks happen on your site not knowing WHERE it is (I know the weather channel has the city) it would help them focus.

Website looks good!! I'll be looking for my pic in the future. We can get some good digital pics in May with my 4 and 5 pounders!!

Nice customer testimonial...LOL

How much did you pay that guy???

Cool web-site I'll check it more thoroughly tonight when I get home.

Marke

(The customer testimonial is ABSOLUTELY TRUE and I was NOT paid anything for it.)

Rob,

Nice site. I do have a question though. You say that you can give assistance with getting people lodging. Do you have a deal going with the Hajji Hotel???

aahhh...the "Marakesh Express"..."Ghandi Gardens",.."Hotel Hindu",..."Best MiddleEastern",..."Curry Inn",...hahahaa

gotta admit though...it was a perfect place for that Rally!

Neeley and I sure had a blast anyway...I know everyone else did too!! Thanks again Rob,..I'll check out your website in a few minutes.....more to read first!! I'll post again!

Mac

Mac - I don't know if I want to vision Ken at the Rally with words like "blast" after what I heard he did in the potty!!! LOL

Very nice job on the site Rich......Rob..after seeing the pix's and reading that testimonial...I'm there!! LOL

Trep....you're very insightful...I was wondering how many people would pick up on that!!..LOL

Rob,

Looks good man! I was just wondering what was for lunch? Day old tuna fish sandwiches as you zip across the lake, shore lunch, or Naked Turtle?

Tim

Hey Bob G.,

I think Rob wants his to prospective clients to think they will have FUN. Do you know what that means?? You'll have to SMILE!!!

Rob...use one of ME ) Or better yet, use a photo of Michelle in her new x-mas present from Page 41 ;o)

Marke

Marke,

Maybe Rich can take an award winning smile from an actor and paste it over my pic so I don't have to smile for the camera!! I don't want to break tradition or anything!!
