Hey yall

It seems the 2005 nitro 901cdx i bought has an issue with the 200 optimax. Issue is the air compressor is missing!!

I am thinking about instead of going deep down the rabbit hole on this engine just replacing it.


I found a used 150 verado with 212 hours on it for a reasonable price. Also it comes with controls and gauges, ready to hang on boat.

I just need to check price to get mounted.

Thoughts????? Ty in advance.

Also, this boat is for my wife and i to fish from we are not fishing tournaments and no way she wants to run fast down lake. Ty again!!!!

Considering that your boat is almost 20 years old. I would do alot of research on the 150 Verado. If your rig is in really good shape, maybe consider a new or newer 150 Merc 4str. Everything I've read about them is positive.

TY for the advice. I am having the carpet and seats replaced and a minn kota ulterra installed while i figure the motor issue out. I just missed a merc special with warranty extension to 5 years. I may hold out a bit and see what they offer soon. Def a new 150 4 stroke
