Does anyone know how to remove the seats from a 911CDC? It's getting to the point that they need to be re-upholstered.

From behind the bulkhead that the rear deck starts with (directly behind the seats). Should be two nuts per seat back to remove.

Okay, I give... how would I GET to them? The seata have livewells behind them, and a gas tank behind them.

Remember, I ain't mechanically inclined... step-by-step please :)

Also, any ideas what a shop charges to re-uphoster the seats?

1. Get in boat.

2. Open both rear storage lockers.

3. Remove bins that are in rear lockers.

4. Stick your head in the rear locker compartment.

5. Locate seat mounting hardware.

6. Slam door on head.

7. Replace everything and take it to a Tracker Service Center or an upholstery shop and let them take em out and put them back in, cause you are too high maintainence. LOL

Look in there man, dont be afraid....nothing will bite you.

Are you always this way?

I have an easier way then Mini's:

1. Drive 911 to Trep's house.

2. Trailer Trep's 175 back to Mike's house (seats are PERFECT at 3 years and counting).

3. Fish from Trep's 175, enjoy the gas mileage, comfortable seating in the low decks. Enjoy with the wife a sunny day under the Bimini Top.

4. Meanwhile Trep will remove the 911 Seats, have them professional re-upholstered or replaced and put back in the 911.

5. Come back to Trep's to pick up the 911 sometime next spring!!! LOL

DEAL... you know you can't tow it with the trepper-wagon, right? :)

Yes, I'm always this high-maintenance.

MikeS - Yup I know the Urban Lamborgini (as my highschool buddies called station wagons!!) can't tow it. And at 3,600lbs empty and i'd figure the 911 is a good 4,500lbs loaded I don't know a standard "wagon" that could tow it!!! BUT I have LOTs of friends with full sized PU's and SUV's that would be VERY willing to help me!!! LOL

How bad are the seats Mike, did it sit outside quite a bit? Just wondering on how long the seats last.

It was a repo and sat outside for at least 6 months. Oh yeah, and the six months I've had it too.. .okay, so I'm not so smart. .

I forgot that Mike, good answer!!!

Are they torn or just "mildew" stained? If the later, drop Texas Transplant (John Astrello in the Member list) as he and his wife did a great job cleaning up the seats on his '95 Stratos.

Whatcha goin' to do Snowman, put in some Lazyboy Rockin' Recliners? ;>))

If I could get some La-Z-Boy recliners on it, I'd have 'em. Nope, they're starting to tear.

You need a captains chair for that boat. One of those nice leather office chairs, with a phone in the arm rest.

I've seen some of those recliners with a mini fridge in the arm rest to hold a sixer. Now thats livin' baby!

Things that shouldn't be allowed in a boat -- incoming phone calls :)
