Ok all you old music buffs ... Anybody remember Mickey Denton? His biggest hit was "Mia Amore" in the fall of 1965. I just got a Disk Jockey copy of the 45 WITH the dust jacket. How do I preserve it? I'm thinking of getting it framed. Any suggestions?

I have the sound tracks to my two all-time favorite movies framed and hanging on my wall over my CD collection - "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Grand Prix". (They're on the far left in the picture.)

The frame is about an inch thick. There are three layers of foam board behind the albums. To hold the albums in place, I drilled a couple of holes into the foam board on each side and stuck the little plastic anchors into the board that are used to anchor screws in wallboard. I left the anchors protruding just enough to rest the albums on. The glass is non-reflective AND ultra-violet resistant.

I got the glass and frames made at a place in St. Louis called ArtMart that specializes in supplies and frames for Artists.

I knew I could could count on you guys. Did you have to use any special paper?

Any professional frame shop should (and you should ask) know about no acid archival paperds and UV protection glass/plastic...

Ahhh.... 1965...

Kathy -

The backing paper I used was "no acid". I don't know if it makes any difference but I did it "just in case"..... Kinda like buying an insurance policy!

me!
