Recessed Trolling motor Tray

Any one installed a recessed trolling motor tray on a Tournament V-18? I have a 2001 model and would like to do this.

I have an '02 TV18..there is an aluminum strut supporting the deck right where the recessed pedal would go. I have a feeling yours is probably the same way.
