OK, after careful deliberation between myself and Pierre, and a couple of folks that attended last year's rally, we have concluded that it would very difficult to have a BBQ at the launch after Saturday's event. Plus we would be at the mercy of the weather. So, we have decided to wave all of the participation fee except $5.00, which will pay for trophies. Any left over will be used for door prizes. Everyone can save there $$$ as I am trying to get special pricing at none other than the NAKED TURTLE for food and drink. It is only a 20 minute drive from the launch and is still on the lake. Great environment and food. I think it would be the best for everyone. This way all anyone has to send in advance is $5, that way I know you're coming and pay for trophies. Tourney fees will be collected the mornings previous to launch and starting positions determined then as well. How does this sound to everyone?

sounds good,...what about parking,...will we be able to take the boats there or should we unhook and leave them at our campsite/hotel, etc..etc..

Obviously I'm not up on things, where is the rally? and when? I thought I saw a post about it being on Champlain, but I wasn't sure. Any details appreciated.

Will limes be made available to us at this Nekkid Turtle joint???

Bill,

The rally is June 8th and 9th at the Chazy River boat launch in NY on Lake Champlain. We will have a site linked here shortly.

I have confirmed with the Naked Turtle that we are welcome. Once I have more concrete numbers of how many will attend, I can get prices for a BBQ there with our own seperate deck. With 50-65 it would be about $12 a plate. And Ken, Corona and lime is the house drink there. And Buffet plays whenever the carribean music does not. Very nautical theme place. Owner is a great guy, his staff is top notch, and prices are very reasonable. Parking may be challenging as this place tends to get somewhat crowded on Saturday evenings. For those who are staying north of town, closer to the launch, I would recomment leaving your rig at your room. I will try to get addresses and map links on the site when it's up. Any questions, again feel free to call me or e-mail.

Rob

BTW, did anyone catch Hank Parker on TNN yesterday on Champlain? A small morsel of what to expect. He should have done a lot better in May!!!!
