My 2001 NX750 has the rack and pinion steering. There is some play in the wheel and it is harder to turn left than right even sitting still with the engine off. I greased the arm at the motor, but do not have a fitting on the nut on the end of the cable like I have seen on others boats.
The grease helped some, but it still is pretty tight. I also greased the steering post on the engine itself.
Is there a way to grease the cable and adjust the wheel play, or is it time to get a new steering set?
I just bought the boat, so I don't know how it should behave new.
