I have always mixed the Mercury Fuel System Treatment and Stabilizer into my boats gas tank throughout the season. I put it in every time I gas up. Recently, I have heard about the benefits of running the Mercury "Quickcleen" through the motor. I purchased some Quickcleen at BPS awhile ago, but have put off using it until I could get a couple questions answered. Reading the backs of both bottles, the limited descriptions on both sound very similiar though the Quickcleen does not stabilize. So, my questions are:

1) What if anything does Quickcleen do that the fuel system treatment and stabilizer does not..?

2) Since I always run the system treatment and stabilizer, can I add the Quickcleen also without any ill affects from having them both mixed together in the gas...??

I use Quickcleen to clear build up out of the motor. It seems to do a pretty good job of it. No fouled spark plugs or such. I run this through about mid summer and usually run the tank down before fueling up again.

I use Stabilizer for my winter put up. I also know guys that run it all the time especially if they don't run their boats often. They say it keeps the gas from going bad in the motor and fuel lines which could lead to bad things.

Thanks for the reply Mo, but I'm still confused. The Mercury Stabilizer is just that, plus fuel system treatment. I know the Quickcleen does'nt stabilize the fuel. It cleans the fuel system. But is'nt that what the Fuel System Treatment and Stabilizer by Mercury does too..?? Or is there some added benefit to the Quickcleen..?? And, if there is an added benefit to running some Quickcleen through my motor, can I mix the two products with no ill affects..? C'mon gearheads...!! Show me the light.....
