Hi all, I have a 90hp Tracker Mercury from 94', and I have a question regarding what to use to grease the steering column. I do have a little "nipple" insert fitting in the middle of the column, and I don't know why kind of grease to use. I went to Wal-mart, and I can see all kinds of grease from trailer bearing grease, to lower unit oil. But I just don't see one for the steering column/rod. Does the trailer bearing grease can be used as the same thing? Since I don't have any fancy hydralic steering, I have to guess it's using some kind of grease instead of oil.

Any help will be appreciated!

Eric
