question about boat drain

I'm planning to buy a 2008 Tracker Targa boat.

However, there is a "hole" or drainplug that I'm not sure about.

Please let me know what its for as pictured below:

That’s where your drain plug goes.

That is where main drain plug should go. But from what I can see in these pictures it doesn’t look round. Has it been modified?

Looks like the bottom of the drain plug hole hit something and got out of round . Might have to put the drain plug in from the inside.

I would ask the owner how he installs the plug.
