My youngest son just left this morning for boot camp at Fort Jackson.....he wants to be a Snake Eater!!!



He's on the Split-Option Delayed Entry....he'll do regular boot, then come home in August and complete his senior year in high school while serving in the reserves, then be activated when he graduates.



This is a great program and will enable him to start off as an E3, and get valuable training while he is in high school.

Congrats Ken, another fine American in the ranks. He's getting a head start going in a PFC, it makes a big difference, one that nobody told me. One piece of advice, tell to always strive to make the rank two above where he's at. As a PFC, if he works like he want to be a SGT instead of a SPC, he'll be far ahead of his peers.
