Does anyone know if the aerator and recirc pump/motor is one and the same? Can only find one mayfair pump, the recirc switch in manual runs but the aerator switch doesn't do anything. Also need help in what it takes to release the cartridge to pull motor/pump insert out. This is 2005 model.

fred,

the nozzel where the water enters your livewell directs the flow of water either from the lake or from the bottom of the livewell.

it is red pull it out for recirculation push in for water from the lake , of vise versa can't remember wich.

the airator/manual switch essentually means timer/ constant on if you have just filled the livewell the timer wont come on for about 7 mins once you switch over to recerculate.

at least thats how i remember that unit not 100% but i think im close.?

as far as your cartridge there are two types 1st has two tabs on oposeing sides like 6-12 on a clock ,to be pushed in to release the cartridge. the second is just threaded in .

i hope some of this helps

Sounds right, in past I always push the aerator to fill the livewell. But now nothing happens when I hit switch, however I can hit the recirc switch and pump runs. Does mean the aerator switch is bad? That makes sense, guess I will be stopping BPS to pick a switch. Thanks for the reply.

check to see if the wires are on the switch are tight first.

wouldn't want to buy that switch or make that trip for a loose wire.

before you take out the old one draw a picture of where all the wires go.
