Saw this posted and thought it might be of interest to PT 185/175 owners. I know I had the same problem in my 2000 PC 175, and had the dealer under waranty do basicaly what he described:

SUBJECT: Tracker PT175 2002 livewell drain issue resolved

Submitted by Coppertop808 (67.72.98.109) from TENNESSEE on

Posting this in case any else has this issue and can't figure it out...

Had problems for years with mine not draining very fast, kinda just trickled for hours until it would finally drain completely. I blamed it on poor design until I decided to tear into it and re-plumb/fix it. I pulled the starboard aft storage box out to expose the foam interior and cut an access hole towards the live well drain area at about 45 degrees downward and was able to get to the under side of the livewell. Using a mirror I was able to see that some stupid #$@!%#@$% that assembled the livewell plumbing coiled up extra hose in that tight area which developed into a kink. After freeing the hose and pulling the slack to the back, cutting the excess and putting the pump back in, it drains MUCH faster. It is not 100% what I would consider normal since part of the hose is still slightly compressed at the kink spot. If I thought I could get the hose back on the drain fitting again, I would have taken the hose out and removed the section with the kink. Theres just enough room to get your arm in and do minor work and I would be afraid I'd never be able to snake the hose back through.

Anyway, if you have problems with your tracker (around 02 year models) livewell drain, this might be your problem too. I know they redesigned the livewell system in the newer models, but hopefully they fired that dumb F#$@!#& too!

There's easier access to all the hoses and wiring right under the driver's seat.
