Well, like a fool I ventured into my office today in DC(1700 Pennsylvania Ave.) to see if the IMF protesters had the cahunges to "disrupt" downtown DC. At this time they are a non issue. They squirted super glue in the locks at some of the Metro (subway) stations to try to keep them from opening. As usual, they plan to do rolling road blocks on their bicycles--ha, ha. I think they learned their lesson last year when the DC police warned them that there would be no repeat of Seattle (remember the destruction) and they came down on them HARD everytime they even thought about getting out of line. Hey, more power to them and it is their right to show civil disobedience, but like most numbskulls they don't have the right to stop honest working people from getting to their jobs and supporting their families. These protests are like a big party to these people and they just love it when the party gets out of hand. All of the newspaper boxes and mailboxes have been removed from the streets because they usually either firebomb them or throw them through windows. I guess I'm just venting because I have been working in Downtown DC for 10 years and I've seen more protests than most. I really think that is why I fish......to get out on the water and recapture what little piece of mind I have left. Goin tomorrow........

Hey Toxic. If they start to 'strut their stuff', maybe you just need to take one of them great big gosh afwul monster crankbaits outside (you know, the one with those massive big shiny trebles on it), and practice casting for awhile!

NOPE! Just eat up on some beans, eggs, and cheap beer this weekend!!!! Then parade your hinny out the door, about face, drop the tightie whities, and 3......2.......1.....WE HAVE IGNITION DC! Oooooh, look at 'em dance like little ants under a magnifying glass!!!! That's gonna leave a mark! LOL Don't you just love the smell of fresh roasted protesters in the morning?

Washington Post Tuesday morning: The president and joint chiefs were evacuated Monday and the whitehouse is on full alert after a nuclear detonation was detected amongst demonstrators outside 1700 Pennsylvania Ave. Authorities have no leads or suspects as everything was burnt to a crisp! One eye witness victim and protester was able to mutter only one word before dieing, "TOXIC......." DC Commissioner believes that the protesters secretly planned to attack the whitehouse, but their plans "backfired" and they blew themselves up. The case is one closed.

HAHAHAHA!!

IMF= International Monetary Fund. Overseen by the World Bank (actual target of protesters). Protesters claim that by lending $$ to third world countries who can never repay, the IMF/World Bank is committing these countries to a future of debt. But here's the push......the World Bank loans the $ for, and then oversees the construction of, water supply reserviors, electric generation plants, sewage treatment plants, irrigation for agriculture, schools, etc.. So, what do you do? Let these third world nations self destruct, the people starve and get disease from bad water, or loan them the $$ and expect a payback? I side with the IMF/World Bank. A lot of young activists are the protesters and think the world needs to unite and take care of each other free of charge----ahhhh idealists, where would we be without them!!

and by the way Rob, have you seen the Miller light commercial where the announcer says that it's not really a bon fire unless it can be seen from outer space?? Well, just insert "TOXIC explosion". LOL
