prop?

I just bought a 1996 Nitro 160TF with a 75hp Mercury. It seems to be slow out of the hole. It has a Laser2 24p prop and runs at 5000 WOT. What is the best prop for good speed and take off? This is my first boat and I don't know much.

Find a prop that gets your RPMS @WOT closer the max recomened RPMS. No sure what that is for that motor. I believe it is 5250. Might want to consider a 23p. Verify your max RPMS and pitch accordingly. 1 Pitch equals 150-200 RPMS.
