Prop for 185?

Anybody out there runnin' a 22 Pitch on a 90 Merc on their 185's??? Thinkin' of tryin'a 22 to see what kinda' topspeed I can get.

I am currently running a 13X21P and gettin' around 43MPH & 5400 RPM with two....I should be able to run around 47?

A 20? wouldn't I get too many RPM's if I'm currently runnin' a 21?

TEE - I'm running the same, Bob B suggested a 19 for me. Merc doesn't do even # props...

A higher pitch will get you more speed but drop RPM's. You may want to try a 23 to get more top end, not sure what holeshot will be.

I'm doing 45 at 5200 rpm's with my 21.

Tee, I have a 99' 185 w/90 merc and a 22p laser. With full tank, full gear, livewell full, & 2 good size people, I can at best get 5000rpm. This is right on the low edge. I wish I had a 20P instead. Carl S.
