Pro17 Question re Livewell

Well I got the Tracker Pro17 Friday evening. I spent most of today cleaning her up (it sat unused for four years) and now I am posting the first of what will probably be lots of seemingly dumb questions to you experienced boaters. Here goes: Can I plug the livewell and turn it into a dry storage compartment?

Well I guess I should have phrased the question differently. How do you do it?

Steve - Go to Walmart, buy one of every drain plug size (and the adjustable ones ) they have, put each in and tighten until one fits, take the rest back for refund! That's how I turned my rear livewell into a cooler for 5 years in my 2000 PC 175!!

If you just put the tube into the drain hole at the bottom of the livewell, it will keep any water from coming in. Unless you are afraid of knocking it loose, or just need the extra room that's the easiest way.



Without the tube in, you will get a few inches of water. It will fill untill level with the water outside.





Just don't accidently hit the switch and soak down your lunch.
