I was at the Tracker site looking at new boats.I noticed the max hp rating is listed at 115 for the 185.The motor upgrade list only lists 90 hp max.Any body on the inside know which one is correct.A 115 on this boat would be real nice, and would make me quit looking at the Express site and dreaming.Thats the only problem I have with these boats, not enough hp.

PS...How do I remove this little black edit thingey off of my name, nobody else has one,get it off me,HELP,aaaggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can only guess, but since on the v-18, the cost upgrade from the 90 to a 115 is about $1500, they figured the jet was cheaper and faster? Again, just a guess.

don't know for sure. i have a lx700 w 115hp and they usually only show a 90hp. my boat is listed for 125hp max.

Only you can see the little black edit thingy..If you click on it, it will allow you to go back and make changes to your post with out reposting....

I asked the same quetion a while back so I called Tracker. They told me that the 115 rating was just introduced this year but, what I don't understand and they could not answer was...there does not seem to be any difference in the transom stringer system between the 2002 and 2003 models. Does this mean I can put a 115 on the back of my 2002?....I was told not.

Steve....you'd be surprised how fast a 185 w/90 will move with an SS prop.I'm GPS'ing 45 with two and tackle.

Thanks guys. And thanks Bruce,I wondered why nobody else had one by their name.

Steve - I talked to my contact at Tracker a few weeks ago on this topic - He said it is rated to 115 but they marketing has not provided the web-master the new cost and performance spec's on the 2003 boats.

As to TEE - I too would be interested in what/if anything they did different. BUT with insurance being a potential issue, i'd keep the boat to the recommended Max HP on that model, unless Tracker is willing to provide an updated label and warranty extention.

Trep,I figured you would have some inside info.Havent heard from you in awhile.

Steve - Doing my hopefully ONLY travelling road show! Was in Austin TX all last week, home this past weekend for 39 hours, flew to Boulder CO yesterday. I'm here till Friday then home for the weekend and then fly out Monday AM to NY for a week.
