Dropped the price of the Supreme baitcasters this morning, as well as deleting the others that have sold to some members of this board. Thanks for all who have responded and/or purchased rods / reels from me in the past. I hope you all enjoy your purchases.

Also have a nice little .30-30 single shot on there for trade if anyone is interested.

So come one, come all... check out "Isle 3" on this board (that would be the third choice at the top of this page - Swap & Sell  )

All the best,

Glenn

Geez Trep. You just dated yourself brother. It's been forever since I've seen a "blue light special". Then again... it's probably been 10 years since I set foot in KMart.

All the best,

Glenn

Glenn - When I was in college my senior year (Dec 1987) I worked the Inch of Gold booth at a local K-mart for the winter break, I even got to use the PA to make a few "Attention K-Mart Shoppers, there is a Blue Light Special going on at the Inch of Gold counter for the next 10 minutes!" LOL!! It was good money at the time, no boss just me running the counter 10 hours a day.

Trep

OK Trepper....but do you remember when you could get a "submarine sandwich" at the deli inside K-Mart? They were great and pre-dated the subway's, quizno's and others by years and years...

dang I'm getting old...LOL

az

Andy - Yup, and then K-mart got the deal with Little Cesar's for pizza in the store and they did away with the subs :-(

No "subs" where I grew up (southern Louisiana). I didn't hear of a "sub" or "submarine sandwich" the entire time I lived there (I moved at 18 when I joined the Navy).

Our version of a sub was the "Po'Boy" - and it was MUCH better than any dang sub I've ever eaten. Ahhh.... a Fried Shrimp (or Fried Oyster) Po'Boy "Fully Dressed" (all the fixin's)... heaven on earth... :D

All the best,

Glenn

I'm having hallucinations, thinking about Trep running a 'Blue Light Special'! I need a drink this morning, already!

Tex

I'll join you Tex:rolleyes:

I've had Po'Boys in Looooooooosiana and Subs' here in MD and Hero's and I never thought of them as being anything alike? I like them all:p

Uncle Billy

Uncle Billy,

You're right - totally different taste. It was the closest comparison I had to a sub though. Different bread, different ingredients - but same basic concept (sandwich on a large piece of bread).

I never realized it before. I know different areas of the country have different tastes in food, but it's actually kinda funny about the differences in something so common as a large sandwich.

Po'Boys, Subs, Hero's, Hoggies, Big Honkin' Sam'ich  .... what other names are there?

(Boy, did this get off topic quick! :p - that's ok though. I like where it went.)

All the best,

Glenn
